I cannot thank Ash enough for the incredible support, dedication and compassion she has shown Hunter and our family throughout this long journey. She has been part of our lives since Hunter was just 3 years old, and her support has made such a meaningful difference to both Hunter’s development and my journey as a parent.

Ash has always gone above and beyond to help us navigate the challenges of finding the right supports for Hunter. She has helped connect us with various allied health professionals and services, explored different support options, and consistently gone out of her way to find resources and opportunities that could benefit Hunter. Her willingness to take the extra step, make enquiries and look for solutions has meant so much to me, especially during times when navigating the system has felt overwhelming.

What I appreciate most about Ash is that she genuinely cares. She understands that every child is different and takes the time to consider Hunter’s individual needs, strengths and challenges. I have always felt that she is advocating for Hunter and wants to see him thrive, rather than simply ticking boxes. Having someone who is willing to listen, offer guidance and help you find a way forward makes such a difference, particularly when you are trying to secure the right support for your child.

Ash’s social group has also been wonderful for Hunter. It has provided him with a valuable opportunity to develop his social skills, interact with other children, and learn strategies to better understand and regulate his emotions. One of the most encouraging things has been seeing how much the sessions help him. After each session, I have noticed a positive difference in his emotional regulation, which reinforces how valuable and beneficial the group has been for him. Having a safe and supportive environment where he can learn, practise new skills and build confidence has been incredibly important.

As a parent, the journey of finding the right support for your child can be long, exhausting and sometimes disheartening. Having Ash alongside us has made that journey feel less lonely. Her knowledge, persistence, kindness and genuine commitment to helping Hunter have been invaluable. She has not only supported Hunter but has also supported me by helping me navigate the many services and decisions involved in getting him the assistance he needs.

I am incredibly grateful for everything Ash has done for Hunter and our family over the years. Her dedication, compassion and willingness to go above and beyond deserve to be recognised. It is rare to find someone who invests so much time, effort and heart into the families they support.
